gingerbread fun!

hey guys!
I am such a bad blogger I haven't posted since the middle of November,I am extremely sorry for that to make up for it I thought id share a festive recipe i've done multiple of times during December....GINGERBREAD! honestly this is one of my favourite things to bake and its so fun and easy to do for all ages.

For this recipe you will need:
- 350g(12oz) plain flour (plus extra for rolling out dough)
- 1tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2tsp ground ginger
- 1tsp ground cinnamon
- 125g (4 1/2oz)butter,softened preferably.
(Note:you will need extra to grease your tin or oil)
- 175g (6oz) light soft brown sugar
- 1 free range egg
- 4 tbsp golden syrup
- weighing scales
- large bowl
- cookie cutters
- rolling pin
- baking trays

to decorate (optional)
- writing icing
- cake decorations (sprinkles make everything better)

You'll want to get a clean surface and set up all of your equipment and ingredients.
For your convenience i weighed out all of my ingredients first so you can just chuck it all in                                                                      without hassle!
MAKE SURE TO WASH YOUR HANDS,DON'T BE GROSS.
1)Sift together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon into the large bowl. I did all of this by hand but if your lazy you could use a food processor to make it even easier.
2)Add the butter and blend until it looks like bread crumbs.
(Note: i melted my butter in the microwave for 5-10 seconds so it would combine quicker)
3) Stir in sugar.
4)Lightly beat the egg and golden syrup together, add to the other ingredients. Stir in the wet ingredients until mixture is clumping together
5) At this stage,You want to tip the dough on to clean surface,Kneed briefly until smooth,Wrap in cling film and leave to chill in the fridge for 15 minutes (I honestly don't know what this does and i've skipped out this step a few times, because i'm inpatient and it turned out fine so I don't know!)
6) Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas.
Line baking tray(s) with grease proof paper or cover tray in butter.
7) Roll out the dough on a lightly flour coated surface to about a cm thickness (a pound coin is a good thickness)
8) Using your cute little cutters (I choose different sized gingerbread men) cut out the shapes placing them on the tray evenly spaced out.
9) Bake for 12-15 minutes,or until lightly golden brown, leave on tray for 10 minutes to cool then move them on to a wire rack till fully cooled down
10) You then can decorate them till your hearts content! :)

I hope you all get use out of this recipe and all have an amazing Christmas! I am once again very sorry for my irregular posting but i promise after Christmas ill get back on my schedule.

Real Techniques Bold metals Brushes REVIEW

Hey guys,
Today I have a review of Bold metals make-up brushes, sorry I left it so late they took ages to come but yeah lets just get into it.

The bold metals are known as the real techniques luxury range meaning they are more expensive than the original line. I believe they cost around the same price range as Mac brushes.

                                                          100-Arched powder brush

It is quite a domed brush but it also comes up into a nice point due to the different bristle lengths and may i say all of the packaging (handles) are fricking gorgeous. It can be used for setting powders and contour. This is probably my favourite because it is the softest and                                                                        biggest one.

                                                          300- tapered blush brush

Rose gold handle = love. I used this for contour as
its tapered perfect to fit in the hollows of my cheeks im sure itll be a very good blush brush too!

                                                      101-Triangle Foundation brush

I did not use this to apply my foundation but im sure it is very good to get in the spaces because         of the triangular shape i personally think that ill use this the least but it is still an awesome brush.

                                                             301-flat contour brush

This is great for a precise contour to really define your cheek bones for a strong bold look! i used it for my high light due to the skinny but flat top you can really control the product that goes on.

                                                          201- pointed crease brush

This is good for smudging your Kohl pencil and putting eye shadow on your bottom lashes for a great smoky look. The thing i like about these brushes they all have white bristles which shows how much                                                                    product you have.
(even though i hated ruining the perfectness of them)

Overall,i highly recommend spending the extra money on these because they are truly the best                                                                              brushes i own!

Thank you for reading my review i hope i helped in some way!
                                                               speak to you soon,

Birthday Surprises!

Hey guys!
Today i thought id show you what i had for my birthday (6th October) it was a while ago i know. This is not me bragging in anyway personally i like looking at what people have had for their birthday etc (besides i bought most of the clothes) but yeah if you don't like it don't read,i hope you enjoy.
I just want to point out I have the BEST family and friends in the world and i love them for that.
One of my favourite things is from my best friends they got me such a thoughtful gift and it literally made me cry. They had organised to get me a Pandora ring not only that but they made it my dads birthstone (for personal reasons) and it is the most gorgeous ring ever it has a silver band and an amethyst deep purple stone in the middle.
The next thing was off my boyfriend,he gave me a silver locket with flower engraving i believe it is from Warren James.I absolutely love it so much and i am very thankful from therthought that also went into it.
On to clothing, the majority of things i have bought it from primark ill say if otherwise.

Gray high neck shift dress

This long sleeved thin woollen midi dress looks amazing with thick tights and chelsea boots. This truly is the perfect autumn/winter dress. it is super cosy and a 'lounging around' item but still looks like you've made an effort! i adore shift dresses at this time of year and they look gorgeous on any body type.

                                            Navy,white and grey flannel shirt
Primark have loads of new shirts in this season.A flannel shirt is a must for my autumn essentials, for a casual look i like pairing it with black skinnies and white converse. i recommend getting a size bigger as it sits nicer on your figure.

Lately, ive really been getting into wearing blouses
and when i found this i fell in love! The collar and 'tail' of the blouse are stitched on to the jumper so you dont have the bulkiness of the whole thing being stuffed under-neath the jumper plus the material of the jumper is sooo soft  Lovely for formal wear with black disco pant
                                                   Mustard knit jumper

A basic knitted jumper with slits on the sides great for just chucking on with leggings whether your staying in for a cosy day or going out shopping with your friends this can be warn with anything basically!

   maroon/wine oversized jumper
This is also an essencial for me in the colder months to just chuck on with leggings and boots,i actually think i bought this in the biggest size so its basically a dress on me,it has a zip on the side as well as a slit on the other for extra detail.

Autumn make up 2015

                                                                          Hey guys!
One thing I LOVE about autumn, apart from the jumpers and hot chocolates, is that I can change my make up look (am I the only one?) not that anyone is stopping me otherwise i feel its only necessary to switch up my lipsticks and eye shadows when the whether changes. This look consists of a gold eye and berry lip and I am soooo excited to be posting this! and i really hope you enjoy it too!

Products I used:

Skin:

Rimmel wake me up foundation in 100 ivory
Collection lasting perfection concealer in fair
E.L.F mineral booster loose powder
Bourjois chocolate bronzing powder and highlighter
Chanel merizing blush in 05

Brows:

Barry M brow kit

Eyes:

Mac eye shadow in Amber lights
Seventeen Kohl pencil in black
Soap and Glory thick and fast mascara

lips:

Either; Body shop lip liner in Mauve berry on its own
Or; Body shop colour crush lipstick in 125(red undertones),Body shop colour crush in 240(purple undertones)
What i use usually;Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 01(Red nose day)
(I apologise for the long list)

Right,to get into it I put a pump of my foundation on the back of hand and using my Real techniques buffing brush I blend a bit each time till my face is fully covered and there isn't any lines etc. This foundation is more dewy looking so it gives more of a glow than a matte finish but not a horrible shine;A healthy shine.
Next I use my concealer in a V shape under my eyes and on any imperfections, scars and spots then pat that into my skin using either a brush or the tip of my finger.
Then I go in with bronzer contouring my cheek bones(sucking them in like a fish...funny)on my temples, basically anywhere you would catch a tan naturally (MAKE SURE not to put to much on your brush you don't want to look muddy.A little goes a long way) Blend,Blend,Blend!
If your using blusher swirl your brush in the pan,tap off the excess and apply to the apples of your cheeks,if you dont have prominent apples(what did i just say O.o) just smile and they should pop right out :)
After powdering,i go onto my brows, using any angled brush,i use a gel eyeliner brush, dip into whatever powder/wax your using. I stick to powder i just find it more natural and its easier to correct if you make a mistake,if you arent confident or are new using a powder or wax  you could always use an eyebrow mascara(my favourite is Maybeline brow drama its inexpensive and the brush is soooo cool) and starting from the MIDDLE of your brow brush gently in small strokes to the tail of your eyebrow following the natural shape use the left over powder on your brush to fill in the front this is so you dont have that square looking front (unless you like that then go right ahead)
Now my favourite bit the gold eyes! i curl my eyelashes first i recommend doing this first just so you dont mess up your eyeliner or shadow then i use the a 'smoky eye' brush packing the mac Amber lights eyeshadow on to the brush(in fact you dont even need that much on the brush its so pigmented! i did a review on this last week check it out!) Starting from the middle of my lid i move it across till the full lid is covered blending it slightly through the crease.
This is optional but i like to use a light brown shadow(i tend to use my bronzer) apply it to the outer coner of your eye and pull it through and slightly over your crease then blend the colours together making a smoky effect
(TIP:to make it even more smoky i use the black kohl pencil drawing a thin line and smudging it out)
Line your water line and with the Amber lights use a small brush drag it from the corner of the bottom of your eye to the middle. The same with the darker colour but the opposite side.
Thats all theres left to do now is the lip stick which is pretty easy if you apply lip liner dont over draw your lips and you could even colour lips in this can act as a 'primer' for your lipstick and it will last longer!

I really hope you enjoyed this long ass 'tutorial thing ' in the future i will start doing youtube tutorials soo keep an eye out for them! If you enjoyed this be sure to comment any feed back or suggestions of anything, thank you so much for reading,

Mac-Amber lights eyeshadow review

*DISCLAIMER*Hey guys! sorry i haven't posted in a while being back to school then getting ill made me completely forget about this sorry! (again).

Today i thought i would do a little review on my first mac product (mac virginity lost) and say what i think about it (duh).
I got this product a few months ago actually when i went to London and thought it was about time i got some Mac in my collection,i had been wanting this eyeshadow since last year (thanks to zoellas autumn look 2014) as i love doing a gold eyes and berry lip this was the perfect colour for the desired look.
Mac is well known for there shadows and i believe amber lights it a very popular colour. i found it extremely pigmented and is a beautiful colour on the eyes (especially blue!) it lasts all day/night and can be pulled off as a daily look! it is how ever on the pricier side for a single shadow (for a teenager) but is totally worth it i highly recommend mac eyeshadows to any body looking for this kind of thing :D

i know this is kinda rubbish but being my first review it is expected! if you like this kinda thing be sure to leave a comment or message me ideas of products!
                                                             ill speak to you soon,

Back to school-how to deal with it

Its that time of the year again (where I live anyway) where everyone is getting ready to go back to school whether it be going up to secondary or it being your 4th year there, like mine.Going back to school can be the most exciting or nervous time of the year for me i'm not EXACTLY looking forward to it as i'm starting my course work and GCSE's exciting I know...but I wanted to give you some 'tips' or 'advice' to get you through your first day/week/month etc.

1) Plan ahead : Nobody wants to get lost on there first day of school, arrange to meet up with a friend before class or there's nothing wrong with asking for help,I remember when I started year 7 I felt as if my heart was going to jump out of me and no way was I planning to go up to the yea
r 11's to ask for help but being one of the oldest in school now I feel the newbies pain,so just ask a moderately nice person for directions. (if all else fails go to a teacher)

2) Stationary : Personally I love buying new pens, pencils, rulers, rubbers I could spend forever looking at all the cool animal rubbers but not many people get excited to buy a new pen so just go in your local shop/store and they should have the packs that come with everything and you wont have to be the one who gets shouted at on the first day for not having the right equipment. (ps hide it from all humans you'll never get that pen back you leant to bob)

3)Get ready the night before : I NEVER do this but you should, lay out your uniform and pack your bag so the next day you don't have to have a screaming contest with your mum because you lost your new shirt.

4) P.E (gym/fitness) : This is not so much for the first day because you will probably not bring your kit (I don't) but make sure you have some sort of deodorant and face wipes these will be your saviours for your whole time there, and gum,but no one wants to be the one sitting next to a sweaty person in math class so just spritz, wipe and go.

5) Take notes of EVERYTHING said : This is pretty self explanatory,if you don't write it down you'll forget and get in trouble.

6) Do things one at a time: Don't be worrying about your upcoming class. You need to focus on meeting your new teacher, taking notes, listening to rules, etc. Daydreaming on the first day of school is a terrible, wrong idea and will probably give your new teacher a bad first impression.

I hoped this helped in some way thank you for reading,

Getting started

As this is my first blog post I thought i should tell you a little bit about my self;
I am british,I have a passion for writing and drawing,I read a lot and I aspire to be like zoella and many other bloggers.

My aim,as such,is to share my thoughts whether it be about fashion, beauty or other things that may be on my mind. I have contemplated making a blog for what seems like forever but after a long....long time thinking i thought i might as well give it a shot, hoping one day in the near future i can join in the 'youtube family' and make videos to share,That is if this goes well. I was thinking i could post weekly (maybe more as it goes along) but i would love feedback if you do read my blog and any suggestions of things you think i should talk or would like me to talk about :)

Thank you for reading and i will speak to you soon,
